FC Farms Group Corporation

Since I can remember, farming has always been a part of my life. My parents started harvesting strawberries back in 1989 and with their hard work they were able to lease their first acre to start their own farming operations. As I grew older, I remember coming home from school and going straight to the farm to work, whether it was stepping onto a tractor or having a shovel in my hand. I always knew that one day I too wanted to own a farm of my own.

In 2013 I married my amazing wife, and we planned to start saving in hopes of running our own farms. For the next 2 years my wife and I worked alongside my parents and learned all the tips and tricks that goes into running your own farms. My mother was aware of my plans and in 2015 she offered to lend my wife and I two acres of land to plant Okra.  In this same year we were able to harvest our Okra and saved enough to buy our first flat bed truck, that till this day is still part of our daily operations. A year later my mother passed down one of her leased farms to us, and we were able to plant our first 9 acres of Strawberries. Five years later, with the help of Farm Credit we were able to buy our first farm.

We currently harvest 50 acres of Strawberries in Plant City, Florida. This road has not been easy, but it has been so rewarding to know I have accomplished my dream of operating my own farm along with my wife and four kids.

Wish Farms

When Harris Wishnatzki arrived on Ellis Island in 1904, he couldn’t have imagined what his legacy would be in 100 years’ time. As an immigrant pushcart peddler, he didn’t have that luxury. Harris was focused on working hard to provide for his family. He had a simple belief: If you do things the right way and follow the golden rule, you will be a success. With this as his guiding light, Harris realized his American dream, and set the wheels in motion for what is today, a multi-generational, year-round berry company. His values are at the heart of what Wish Farms lives by every day.

Wish Farms is a supplier of conventional and  organic  varieties of  strawberries,  blueberries,  blackberries, and  raspberries. They grow berries across North and South America including  Florida,  Georgia,  North Carolina,  New Jersey,  Michigan,  California,  Canada,  Mexico,  Chile,  Argentina  and  Peru. Riverview Flower Farm

Riverview Flower Farm was founded in 1982 by brothers Rick and Dave Brown and Dave’s wife Diane. After years of growing and experimentation, the brothers defined Florida Friendly Plants TM as the garden plants that perform best in Florida’s heat and humidity. These selections are regularly updated to reflect the latest breeding breakthroughs that test well in this environment. 2018 is a particularly good year for new Florida Friendly Plants for your garden and more plants are testing for the future.

In 2006 the Brown’s were awarded the prestigious Commissioner of Agriculture’s Environmental Leadership Award for their innovative low impact pest fertilizer and water management systems. These systems are still in use today and being widely adopted by growers throughout Florida the US and beyond. Growers continue to visit the farm and seek this “Green Growing” technology.

M&B Products

M&B Dairy is a totally self-sufficient dairy with every piece of modern equipment it needs to develop and maintain a complete environmentally-sensitive circle in the use of its water, its waste and its food. As an example, after mowing its grass, machines bundle the loose grass and deposits the loads into a machine that shrink wraps the bundles. That process turns the grass into a fermented product that can be reused as feed. M&B is a proud example of a dairy that has built in every possible environmental aid to make it not only an efficient, well run organization, but a good neighbor and outstanding citizen with good stewardship practices in a time which the environment has become an extremely critical issue.
