AgFirst’s workforce campaign raises $167,000 for United Way of the Midlands
AgFirst’s annual United Way workplace campaign shows the impact the bank’s workforce can make when it unites for a common goal of a brighter, more prosperous future for our neighbors in need. During this year’s campaign, employees and retirees came together to donate $117,000 to United Way of the Midlands with the bank giving a $50,000 corporate donation.
“With our partnership with United Way of the Midlands, we are making a tangible difference in the lives of those in need. Raising money each year for the organization reflects how we aim to build stronger, more resilient communities and provide a helping hand to those facing challenges,” said AgFirst President and CEO Tim Amerson.
United Way of the Midlands plays a key role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals and families in ways that are profound and far-reaching. Its programs and services impact more than 40,000 lives every year. The donation from this year’s campaign contributes to United Way’s transformative work addressing needs within the community in the areas of education, financial stability and health. Simply put, it’s an investment in creating lasting change in the Midlands.
"This campaign shows the remarkable generosity, compassion and unity that define AgFirst and its employees. A healthy community is a strong community, and our employees are dedicated to helping achieve that goal,” said Amerson.
